Introducing the Long Probe Compatible With 5G (28GHz / 39GHz / EHF) Devices
We have developed RI-028JL-05; the 6.25 mm long probe that is compatible with GSG configuration of 0.5 mm pitch.
Length during use: 5.65 mm
Stroke: 0.6 mm
Weight: 30 g (At 0.6 mm stroke)
Maximum outer diameter: 3.3 mm
More than 4 times the length has been added to the conventional probes that support signal transmission at 38 GHz. At this “5G age” with more requirements for transmission frequency, greater ease-of-use has been enabled.
Below graphs are the S-parameter waveform of actual measurements.
Range of when S11 return loss is below -10dB: DC to 46.3GHz
Range of when S21 insertion loss is over -1dB: DC to 43.6GHz
Comparison results with the conventional high frequency probe RI-037LI-04.
Regardless of the length difference, both show equivalent performance.
We can also provide S-parameter data from electromagnetic field simulation.
